How to collect Payment with the Terminal/Processor

You can collect the payment in a few different types of methods. First, make sure that your Payment Terminal is switched on with the Stripe logo. Let's learn how to collect payment by following the steps outlined below: 
 
The first method is by going to Calendar:

1. Go to Calendar 
2. Click on the appointment for which you need to collect payment and hit the checkout button
   
   
   
   
3. It will redirect you to the orders page. Click on Collect Payment >> Credit/debit card
   
   
   
   
4. Select the payment terminal
   
   
   
   
5. Click on the Charge button
6. As soon as you click on the Charge button, your Payment Terminal/Processor will show the amount on the screen. You can click on the Tip amount and the total will be updated
7. Now tap the card and the payment will be processed. However, if you wish to cancel the transaction, you can click on the Cancel Payment button as shown below and the Payment Terminal/Process will be back to normal

Q. My payment terminal/processor shows the logo of stripe. What should I do?
A. It is normal to see the stripe logo on your payment terminal/processor. The payment must be initiated from Yottled, not the terminal. You'll need to checkout a customer starting from a phone, tablet, or computer and then "send" the checkout to payment terminal. The checkout process cannot be started from the terminal. To process a payment, follow the steps outlined in this article.

Q. What if I cancel any transaction while payment was about to process?

A. In that case, the payment terminal will turn back to normal, and just the logo would be seen.

Q. Can I initiate the payment directly from my Payment Terminal/Processor?

A. No, that is not possible. The payment must be initiated from Yottled, not the terminal. You'll need to checkout a customer starting from a phone, tablet, or computer and then "send" the checkout to payment terminal. The checkout process cannot be started from the terminal.
