How can I issue a gift card to my customer while charging?

Yottled offers the ability to issue gift cards to customers, allowing them to access the gift card code and make purchases using the available credit. If you have sold a gift card to someone in-store and now you are looking to issue it to them so that they can have access to the gift card code and make a purchase with that. So let’s follow the steps-

Step 1- Head over to Sales —> Orders

Step 2- Locate the orders and click on create

Step 3- Click on browse and select the gift card you want to issue. After that add you customer.

Step 4- After filling out the details, click on Create.

Step 5- Now click on where it says issue.

Step 6- When issuing the gift card, you will be prompted to provide the following information: Sender Name, Recipient Email and Note.

Step- 7- After entering the necessary information, click on the "Issue" button to complete the gift card issuance.

Gift Card Delivery- Yottled will send the gift card to the recipient's email address specified during the issuance process. The recipient will receive an email containing the gift card code and any note or message included.

How your Customer receives the Gift Card?

This article explains the process by which customers receive and utilize gift cards. It provides a step-by-step guide on how recipients can access their gift cards.

Customer Receiving the Gift Card:

When you send a gift card to someone, the recipient will receive an email notification. The email will contain details about the gift card and include a call-to-action (CTA) button labelled "View Gift Card."

Accessing the Gift Card:

Upon clicking the "View Gift Card" button, the recipient will be taken to a new tab or webpage displaying the gift card details. The gift card code, which is essential for redemption, will be prominently displayed on this page. The recipient can either copy the code or print out the gift card for later use.

Utilizing the Gift Card:

Once the recipient has obtained the gift card code, they can visit your storefront from that page and make a purchase using the issued gift card.

Note- If the customer has not utilized the full credit value of the gift card, whenever they click on the "View Gift Card" button in their email, they will be able to see the gift card details with the remaining available credit on the gift card.

For example, let's say a customer received a $100 gift card. After making a purchase, the customer utilized only $50 from the gift card. As a result, the available balance displayed in the gift card details would show as $50. This means that the customer still has $50 left to spend using the gift card.
