How do I collect tips with a gift card?

This article will walk you through the step-by-step process of collecting tips with a gift card, ensuring a seamless experience for both you and your customers. So let's dive in and learn how to make the most of this feature in your business operations.

Note- You need to be sure that you have a gift card. Copy the gift card code to proceed further with collecting the tip.

Step 1- Head over to Sales --> Orders
Step 2 - Click on Create order

Step 3- Click on 'Add custom item'

Step 4- Create an order for the same value as your gift card. (For example, my gift card is worth $100) and then click on add

Step 5- Click on Create order

Step 6- Click on collect payment and select gift card

Step 7- Paste your gift card code in the column and click on apply.

Step- 8 Click on collect tip and select debit/credit card

Step 9- Select the type amount that you want to collect as a tip. Then add the card details to collect the payment and click on charge and your tip will be collected.
